Here's my problem: My truck's sway bar (in front) is only being held by the driver side bracket (to the axle tube). The right side bracket is gone with exception of the top bolt holding a little square piece of metal that's still holding onto the axle tube. The bottom part of the Axle tube (pass side) is broken off so I can't bolt on the new bracket with 2 bolts. Someone told me to have the bracket welded on. What do you suggest? Thanks for any and all help here.... not driving 'til fixed....

fabricate a new bracket, dont weld the old bracket together, the old bracket is fatigued and will break again."wash" the old bracket off with a torch or a 4" grinder if you can get to it,then weld the new bracket in place with 3/32 7018 rods.i am not sure if your axle tubes are 1/2 thick like the kind i have on my dually but if there close that localized heating wont affect it a bit
Thanx therigwelder,
I have no choice but to have the new bracket welded; the old one's just GONE. I don't believe I ever had it since I bought it 42 K miles ago. I've got some buddies offering help that do welding work on tanks and retrievers, etc so I'll be in good hands. Again thanx for replying,
