Cheap place for alternators?
Need an alternator for my '93 Explorer, 4x4, automatic. Was wondering if anyone here knew of a cheap place to buy one? Thanks!

www.partsamerica.com also known as kragen buy it on line or print it out and buy in the store what size engine do you have.



the cheapest one i found for you is 117.99 plus 45.00 core charge

It has the 4.0 engine. There are no Kragen stores around here. Probably it online. Thanks a bunch!

A salvage yard with too much inventory. $25.00 and no core.

Take it home and look at the brushes. Takes a torks bit and a paper clip. Not hard at all. If the brushes are short, replace them.

Got a wild hair up my yahoo one time, called every single yard in the phone book to see who had the cheapest price and what it would be. I liked the outcome.

Keep in mind that there is 2 'models' of alternators. One is a 95 amp, and the other is 130 amp. The 130 amp is for the limited edition explorer..

where do you live. i go to a place called u-wrench-it. alts are 9.99 you take it off with a 30 warranty. they have locations in several states.

will the 130 amp fit in place of the 90 amp bc i need a higher amp alt for my truck lol load sound system
