Hello all!
I just got my 99 Explorer XLT this weekend and was doing some surfing for various parts/accessories for my new ride. Among other things, I have seen a number of vendors selling "external mod chips" for my 4.0l SOHC V6. Apparently these are resistors that come off a sensor that changes the air flow data going to the car's ECU. Does anyone have any experience/advise on these? These aren't the expensive chips I am familiar with that go into the ECU itself, these are simply "piggyback" devices.
Thanks!
Shane
