ring gear size

Hey guys I need to find the size of the ring gear on my 98 ranger 2wd 2.5l 5speed. the door code says 86 and i looked it up on the decoder thing in the tech forum and it told me 86=3.73 limited slip. So I'm wondering if that is the ring gear size maybe? thanks for any help

That means the pinion gear (and the driveshaft) turns 3.73 times for every 1 turn of the ring gear. My Haynes manual says the ring gear is 8.8 inch. Hope this is the info you need.
