Hey fella's got some questions about the 10K mod, but first let me tell you what I saw...
this place called SPDIESEL sells what sounds like this as a mod for around $99 on ebay.. They claim it is adjustable up to +50hp and does not affect EGT's significantly...
I know some guys have monkeyed around with this mod and I wanted to know how much truth is in these claims?
I've also heard of guys running this mod in ranges from around 3K to 13k... I can see the adjustibility there, (3K-13K) ...
I also heard its bad to go lower than 3K. Is this true? verified? and of course I'm assuming that above 13K you're pretty much back to stock..
anyway, they have a website, spdiesel.com, and you can see pictures of the mod for yourself. they call it a "stage 1".
yeah their's look pretty good but there cant be more than maybe $20-30 in parts, and I dont get the "warm fuzzies" when hearing their claims...
my buddy has a 99 f350 psd and he also has a dyno and we installed the 5.6k mod and it has a slight loss in hp and same torque reading but just at lower rpms, from what ive read this mod is better on 94.5-97 psd's we havent dynoed mine yet with this mod but will in the near future.
My early 99 made 237rwhp/588lb-ft with the clamp mod ( modified 10K ). If you don't want to make your own and you want adjustability, check out www.blackclouddiesel.com . They make an 18K adjustable ICP mod, that looks pretty nice.
