Hey Guys,
I have a 73 F350 Super Camper it has dual tanks and the manual style valve for chosing the tank. It works fine and everything, only problem is its on the floor between the seat and door, that makes it near impossible to switch tanks without pulling over. My question is should i switch over to the electric type or not? I think I saw a kit in JC Whitney that looks like it might be easy to install, is it any good?
Thanks in advance,
-Chris
The mechanical valve (though a pain in the butt to switch as you stated) is VERY reliable. Can't see how it could ever fail you. On the other hand an electrical type switch while nice COULD fail you and leave you stranded.
Happy New Year, I also have a 73 350 SCS, and I have the same question, but I wanted to tie it in to the indicator switch thats by the heater controls. What did you end up doing and how did that work?
