Converting Tank Selector Valve

Mines a 74 and it's manual style, How can you convert these to the full electric style? Would it just be a matter of using the newer switch and the valve and adding power and ground for the solenoid?

I prefer the manual style switch, less to go wrong with it.

Definitely a point there. Maybe I'll just leave it manual. Gives it that "older" feel when power windows in a truck was your left hand... And you fuel selector for that matter. I kindda need to make a decision though because I am putting in the carpet and I either need to cut a hole for it, or pull it out. Do my business or get off the pot...
