Rear diff. speed sensor???
I have a 89 bronco with a 5.8L. I am swapping out the rear end and was just wondering what the rear speed sensor does and what it will hurt not being there???? I do not have abs so I don't know what this is for???

If you don't have ABS, it was altered bysomeone because your 89 does have ABS as does mine. That sensor pretty much works in conjunction with the ABS system. Others will have more detail than me but I just wanted to add that quick info.

what are you putting in its place. removing it will just disable the RABS which doesnt work that well to begin with. I swapped to a 9" rear and it drives fine. it will lock up when i really really stop fast but thats ok . your abs light will stay on so you can either tape over it or remove the bulb behind the dash.
