Ranger misses at high idle
I have 2003 Ranger with a 4.0 Auto. I was revving my engine in neutral the other day and once the idle speed gets past a certain point the engine starts to miss and shake. I took the truck back to the dealer and was told that this was the speed governer kicking in and that it was designed to do just that. Is this true or is it possible that I have an engine problem?
