Hard to shift automatic
I have 97 Ranger supercab 2wd with 5 spd automatic trans. I am having a hard time moving the shift lever. I have disconnected the cable at the trans. The cable is free. The lever on the trans is very hard to move. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to pull the trans.

I'm no tranny expert, but I don't like the sound of that!
