Gotta have a truck that runs to go out and play
I wanna get my truck fixed very soon before all this dries up so I can go out w/ it...Prolly make a quick trip to Machickanee w/ it since that is the closest place to me that I know of. But I don't know what's wrong w/ the Bronco, or how much it's gonna cost to fix. Only thing I do know is it needs a tranny, but that is minor rite now, cuz I still got 1st and 2nd gear and that's all I need

Where were you guys Memorial day and the weekend brfore?
I went up to Athelstane to McCaslin Mountain Campground Memorial Day weekend and the pipeline the weekend brfore.
The campground is only an hour north of green bay and the pipeline is 3/4 miles from there.
Mem Day was a total BLAST! HERE are some pix I took.

Hopefully your weekend went better than our's did. Started out Saturday installing a locker in the front of my buddy's truck, got it back together just in time to make our scheduled trail time at Trollhaugen (Dresser) and promptly broke a front axle u-joint (I knew they should have been replaced) and also twisted off the axle shaft only 1/2 hour into our trail ride. Went back home and tore the front end completely apart again(had to remove the carier to get the broken axle piece out) for the second time in less than 6 hours. We didn't get the truck back together until the next morning after taking more parts off my rolling chassis in the shed. Had more problems with the brakes (air in lines, leaking lines, etc) and after the brakes were fixed, the shift linkage broke inside the steering column(again, I had a spare lying around). After it was all said and done, we missed the trails by 1 hour, they close them at 3pm.

Man, does that suck!
Yeah, ours actually went pretty well. Like the last few years, the first hour on the trail my cousin busted some stuff. Fell into a rut coming down the hill and hit a rock with the front left. Sheared the centering pin off the leaf springs and shoved the axle back, which stuffed the front wheel up into the body. Then broke a u-joints on the other side. Luckily, it wasn't that bad and we had it fixed first thing Sat. morning.
I actually went all weekend without getting stuck or breaking anything major. I bent the tie rod and popped the stabilizer bracket off the frame, but that's it.
Once I resolve some clearence issues, I'll be ready again.
