questions aobut my 2000 B3000
2. I have a driveline vibration ( i think) at high RPMs in all gears. could that be the flexplate being warpped? I also get a loud squeeking/creeking when starting off in 1st gear esspecially uphill (its a manual by the way).
3. the tranny feels crunchy when shifting into all gears except 5th. it kind of feels like the tranny in the 87 F350 i used to dirve for work. I changed the tranny fluid the other day and it came out brown... very brown. clould that be a symptom of a tranny going bad? are there any additives i can put in it to make ot shift smoother?
4. what is the first milage the plugs should be changed at? and what kind should i put in it?
by the way, the truck is a 2000 B3000 cab plus 4x4 manual tranny with 44k miles on it. great truck. needs a few small things.
any other things i should know about / be warnned aobut from here on out?
4. Plugs are usually around 30k~40k. I try to at least inspect them every 10k. This helps keep them from getting stuck in there. For the 3.0L with EDIS (electronic distributorless ignition) especially, you should be using double platinum plugs such as Autolite or Motorcraft (made by the same mfg). They worked great in my '98 B3000.
You should also think about changing the Fuel Filter (usually after 30k), an often forgotten routine maintenance item.

as for the tranny shifting, is there any additive for newer trannies to make ot shift smoother? i know there is stuff for older trannies tht use gear oil. but anything for the new ones?
the truck is at the mechanic right now getting some of the bugs out. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
