I have the same power plant you do, but Im assuming youre talking to green terror?
Green terror hes right, beofre rehashing this topic, what motor are you seeking the aforementioned octane boost for?
And to answer your question bluntly, they are a scam (the ones in a bottle from the auto parts store). Go buy some avgas like dennis mentioned or make your own.
