Dont be mislead...octane booster

Octane booster is being sold very misleading. Almost all of the ones I looked at, said 7-10 octane points!!! Problem is it takes 10 octane points to equal...1 octane number. So for 6 bucks a bottle you made 87 octane, 88 octane. When 20 gallons of 93 octane, would cost about $3.60 more than 87 octane.

Is that right? I would have assumed they were talking the same units that we see on the pump.

Thats right, (1) one point is 0.1 octane.

So 7 points = 0.7 octane & 10 points = 1 octane!!!!

Not much improvement for the money is it???

If you need more octane, it's better to just spend a little more on a fill up with the next grade of fuel, or mix some of the next highest octane & get better value for your hard earned bucks IMHO!!!!

Years ago Sunoco had a pump that allowed you to choose the octane you wanted & it automatically mixed it at the pump, neat deal IMHO!!!!
