Question CV Joint Problem?

Have 99 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab 4WD with 78K, getting wob wob wob wob sound when making turns to the left from the right side front, guessing it may be CV joint worn?? Any ideas?

Welcome to FTE harrym.
Sorry that we seem to have missed your post.
Put the front wheels pointed straight ahead, then reach under and grab on to the axle shafts. Compare any play that there seems to be in the right with the left play. Start with front to back play, then try in and out.

Does it do the wob-wob all the time or only in 4wd? Do you have the hubs locked in or are they auto?

Thanks Dealford / hreed... will check Dealford suggestions.... noise is out of 4WD, have not tested in, hubs are auto, did also note some light wear on outside tire thread
