Removing the modem

From my understanding it's actually pretty easy to remove.

Try this. You can just disconnect the antenna and bingo, the modem no longer functions 
Now, you just have to remember to block the infrared FLOCK cameras that are taking your picture everywhere you go. Good luck. I hope this helps.
