Have checked out a couple of trucks and they have the max recline seats. Both platinum's, one was a plus. Wasn't really impressed with the comfort. Thought the seats were hard, especially the backs. Do they loosen up some after use?
The bottom hinged part of that wing back upper hits me in the back like a bar on a cheap pull out sleeper sofa. I passed on a Limited a few years back after being close to pulling the trigger because of those seats. Even regular Platinum seats I don’t find comfortable as that upper part in the shoulder area sticks out farther than the rest of the seat making it uncomfortable in the shoulder blade area for me. Lariat seats are super comfortable without all the unnatural contour changes.
Salesman did mention that Lariat seats are probably also more comfortable because they are better padded instead of having all of that massaging equipment in place of padding.
Wow! All that effort and cost to have hard painful seats!? Especially given that the STX cloth seats are the most comfortable seats in any vehicle I’ve ever driven.

I have a STX now as a loaner and they are comfortable, but no heat.
I just got my 26 with the max recline and only have 40 miles on it, so no comfort opinion yet. The max recline does need a small pillow or folded towel to fine tune.
I have had three or four of the max recline in the last couple of years. I have nothing really bad to say about them, but I prefer the power heated cloth seat in my 550.
