Hey sup guys so I just bought a 2008 f150 xlt off my uncle an I noticed there was no yellow 20fuse in position 9 the fuse fuel pump relay fuel injector spot. I asked uncle why it was missing an he didn’t know so I’m sure there hasn’t been a fuse in there for at least 6 years or. I googled if there should be a fuse in that spot an it say yes it is mandatory. But I don’t wanna go out a fuse in an something bad happen. Can anyone let me know anything about this I’d really appreciate it. Thanks everyone 🙏🏻
everything is working fine. Just wasn’t sure if there should be a fuse in that spot or not. But like I said there hasn’t been a fuse in that spot in at least 6 years with no issues. But I want to be sure what I should do. Thanks again
Something is not adding up here. Looking at wiring diagrams for all F150 engines in 2008 shows F9 controls the fuel pump relay and power to the fuel injectors.
Ebay shows 2004-2008 fuse blocks are interchangeable but some of them don't have a fuse in F9. The 2004 fuse list shows the injector and fuel pump are on fuse 34. Confirm the year of your truck. I didn't look at every year for 04-08. But the fuse configuration changed during that period.
Yes my truck is a 2008 f150 xlt. 2 wheel drive.
4.2l V6. Im guessing I should just leave that fuse spot empty if it hasn’t had a fuse in it since at least 6 years ago im guessing it should be fine but I just wanted a second opinion. My luck I would put a 20 fuse in it an my dam truck will burn to the ground 🤣.
