I do not really want a bed fill tank (I already have a drivers side fill in the side of the bed I pulled off of a camper special bed). The increased capacity would also be great. Just seeing if anyone has used this setup or has a video of a different option other than the couple of bed fill 19 gallon options I see from Boyd Welding.
I installed that tank on my 68 F100 and was not impressed. It wasted a lot of space where fuel could have been where the frame cross support for spare tire. I used the side flange mounts on mine. It's setup to use side mounts or mount through the bed. You still need to add a fill neck. The venting did not work well and I always had to fill it on low flow. If you went fast it would auto shut off. I added a fuel door to the side of mine for the fill neck. Now all this was done in the mid 90's.
If your in my area I will make you a deal on it....
Dang, that's a lot of money. The Blazer/Suburban tank I installed was about two hundred total. Now it's not complete, but several others have done the install, and you can set it up to fuel through the bed side. Does do a search on here and look at the different installs.
When I was still building the 72 f250, I was on the lookout for that tank out of the cab and chassis f350s. Did you get the cross member and skid plate as well? There was a few things they say to grab but I cant remember them all off hand. Those tanks, suburbans, and mustangs are the ones I see most.
