Getting ready to paint my heater box and see the majority of people go black and pint the front frame silver. That’s nice but it seems like it gets lost in the cab. I did see one with the white flake that was different. Anyone paint theirs different?

I don't know why you would consider any other color. I assume you ate talking about the recirculating heater. When painted they look much prettier than the Fresh Air heater .
This is the heater in my 55 F350 after I painted it the original colors.
Some guys use hammered black paint as the surface of the ducts was had a texture.
That looks good, the hammered look is nice. My interior will not be black so hopefully the heater will be seen. Maybe they were black as to not be seen.
