anyone have an easy fix for the leaking vacuum reservoir can?
our line stripping van has gone from once in a while defrost only to fill time defrost over the past 3 years.
i was thinking of making a new tank from 3 inch pvc , 6 inches long with caps on both ends and nipples glued in one of the caps then mounting it under the dash or firewall in engine bay. one nipple connected to intake and the other connected to HVAC controls in cabin.
I made a similar vacuum canister and it seemed to work well. But you can buy several configurations of vacuum cannisters that hold more volume, mount easily and cost about $20. The PVC pipe and fittings cost about the same. Of course, if you have all the parts laying around, that is a reasonable option.

I mounted it on the passenger side behind the plastic panel that faces the passenger. There is plenty of room around there and deep up into the kick panel area.
saw a youtube i liked where he mounted it behind the passenger side of the dash to one of the dash support bracket bolts.
it is easy access and easy to mount. hardest part is cutting the old tube that goes to the controls.
