Well, I screwed up.
I got a Holley 500 CFM 2 Barrel for my 390 (currently on an Engine Stand).
Got the new Metal Fuel Line, and got a new Filter, too. (screws in under Pump).
Well, the fuel line I got is perfect......if I was using the stock 2 Barrel Carb!
Now, I need to get a whole new set up (fuel line).
If anyone knows where I can look, I'd appreciate it.
Also, when installing the Fuel Filter, it had a rubber gasket that goes on the top (replaces the old one - fine).
There's also a round rubber pad......that I'm guessing goes UNDER the Fuel Filter - to sort of push it up to make a good fit???
Is there supposed to be a rubber pad under the Fuel Filter?
All there should be is a rubber grommet on one end of the fuel filter
Nothing in the bottom of the housing
Not sure you will ever be able to buy a new metal fuel line for it
You'll probably need to fabricate one from tubing and flare it and bend it like the factory one was
You could do it like the Dents where they have a short section of fuel hose sleeved over the metal tubing with hose clamps, and the carb fuel filter. Cut of a short section of the carb end tubing and sleeve it with fuel hose. Or you could add a dent carb fuel filter if the inlet fitting size is the same as a MC 2V. I think that 60-70's F-600/800's with FT's might have came with Holley 2V's so that could be a source.

To be honest, I'm not talented enough to create/fabricate/rig my own fuel line.
I'm going to have to find a place to purchase a Pump to Carb fuel line that fits this set up.
I'm certain I'm not the only person who has ever installed a Holley 2 Barrel on a 390.
If anyone knows of any companies that may have a fuel line that fits, please pass it along.
I'll keep looking.
Thanks.
We that fab brake lines and fuel lines had to learn sometime
Mine was the school of hard knocks at the dealer
They make flare tools now that cost a pretty penny but make the job painless
Same with bending tools
One trick for hard steel fuel line is
Fill the tube with sand and then bend it
I could make you one in a couple of hours looking at your old pieces
Maybe a place like EVCO house of hose could help you out and bend one up for you
II don't think you'll EVER find a new one to just buy
