Hello, looks like all reproductions of the tail gate for my 1961 unibody long bed is no longer happening. Does anyone know how I can get one anymore, used I’m guessing. I have attached the photo of the tailgate. Thanks in advance
Suggest you jump on an original... Even if rust repair is necessary in multiple areas.
Reviews of the repos, did not give high marks for fit or finish... Odd gaps, poor fit, some were said to be warped or uneven in height right to left...etc time and effort saved is usually little to none, if you're the least bit picky on how it fits.
I’m closer to Portland than I am to Chicago. I will get some pictures later. It needs some repair but it is straight. I sandblasted it last year so you can see the true condition of it. The biggest pain in shipping is the tariffs added on because of all the crap going on between Canada and USA. Doug.

I won’t mind a drive if it’s not too far! Pictures would be great, I have many other rust issues with the truck so I’m good with it not in the best condition. I understand the whole weirdness with our best neighbors, that’s a whole other discussion over beers. The other thing would be the price, looking for fair and reasonable for us both. Thanks
ok thanks for that, looks like the rust parts are now cleared and need to be filled neither by welding or patched. Just tell me the price you’re looking for, you care via email or text?
