Hub Bearing Help

I want to replace the bearings and seals on the front brake hubs in my '83 Bronco. I'm looking for part numbers and photos on what I'm gonna need. I found these on Rock Auto. I've never been into a 4X4 front axle, let alone the hubs. I wanna be sure I'm getting the right parts. I understand there is a inner and outer bearing. With a seal on the inner.

you will also need a special socket for the nut and a new locking washer such as https://www.summitracing.com/parts/w...SABEgKuGvD_BwE

Might want to invest in a spindle puller too

The upper picture is either the inner or outer wheel bearing. They are different sizes and you haven’t said what this is a picture of. You need the other bearing and a hub seal.

The bottom picture is what you need to replace the spindle bearing and seals.

You were on RockAuto so did you not see the part numbers?

I did eventually buy one of those but I haven’t used it yet. Anti-seize when putting it back makes the puller unnecessary for future disassembly. For years, I used a hammer and a block of wood. Once the spindle starts to break away from the knuckle add a small chisel and/or screwdriver in the mix to wedge between the spindle and knuckle.

There's so many bearings to look at. I have no idea what to get. I'm just wanting to rebuild the brake hub assembly for now. I'll eventually tear into the axle. Spindles, etc

On RockAuto you can select “front” which removes the bearings for the rear axle. Then select “inner” and choose the inner bearing either with or without the race. Then you deselect “inner” and select “outer.” Once again, choose the bearing you want either with or without the race. Close those out and select a “wheel seal” after selecting “front” to remove the rear axle seals from the list. Another option is to go to the local Napa, Advance, AutoZone, O’ Reilly’s and tell the parts guy what vehicle you have and that you want front wheel bearings and grease seals. Since you have not done this before on this vehicle there is no way I would go that far and not remove the spindle to clean, inspect and grease the spindle bearing.

I'll definitely do the spindle bearings as well. I don't want a front end failure.

Dry / dead / gone to dust spindle bearings will not cause a failure
Yours are probably frozen up or turned to dust by now if not packed regularly
Just replace them and be all good again
I made a few special tools to remove them easier
This one is made from an inner tie rod end from a Taurus or Explorer, but any metal will work, even rebar
The short cutout is for explorers and rangers and the longer one for F150-250-350
Using one of these, I can get a spindle bearing out in 10 seconds
Time is money
Fun stuff
4x4 hub pack paid 2.0 hours
Replacing spindle bearings were .7 each

Look closely at the spindles themselves too. They are a wear item. Not too expensive to replace, and since you're in there...
