Rebuilding a 4r70w 2002 F150 2wd
I managed to find a used 4r70w 1L3P-7000-FA trans out of a 2001 F150. I currently have a 2002 F150 Supercrew with a 4r70w 1L3P-7000-LA, both only have 1 sensor for speed on the side of the trans. I am rebuilding the used one and plan on swapping them out when I finish. My question is, as long as I use the speed sensor for my year of truck I should have no issues with it as far as recalibrating the PCM right? They both have the 88 tooth with holes ring gear. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

That was my thinking, the mechanic I have installing it for me was concerned about the electronics portion of it. (I have someone installing it for me because he has a lift and I'm too dam old to lay on my back and install this beast) LOL
