Whirring fan noise under hood, keeps killing battery
2000 Excursion V10 I have a medium-high fan noise under the hood with the ignition off. I replaced the blower motor relay, and it's still there. Unplugged the blower motor connector and no change. All fan speeds work with ignition on, so I don't think it's the blower resistor pack. This gremlin is driving me crazy. Side note. The relay I found that stopped this noise when pulled was in the panel in the driver's side compartment. 2nd down from the top. I pulled every relay and fuse in the under-the-hood box, and it did nothing. Any help is appreciated.

I have never seen a V10,
but, wonder what happens if you remove the Alternator connector?
easy test...
if you disconnected the blower motor power connector, and still hear noises, time to look elsewhere.
