2004 6.8l V-10 2 valve / Coolant: "VC-7-B" only?
I have the: 2004 6.8l V-10 2 valve
There is VC-3, VC-7, VC-13 out there available, all at different prices.
My owners manual states: VC-7-B - is this still the only motorcraft coolant we can use in the 2 valve 6.8l gas engine?

I drained the coolant for the second time, almost all of it was the Tap Water I poured into it after replacing the Thermostat while the truck was still at the auction Yard area.
I put in 3 gallons of distilled, while idling, got engine temp up to normal operating temp then re-drained the cooling system again, hoping to get the Tap Water out of the block.
I then re-filled the cooling system with 2 gallons of the Motorcraft Gold VC-7-B ($46 ea.) and the rest with Distilled water. It should be good to go for several years now
