2013 F150 FX2 went to limp mode
thought i hit button on gear shift putting it into manual. Hit buttons on gear shift. Nothing changed.
Limped towards home for 15 minutes then suddenly the door locks locked without me touching them and all the sudden the transmission was going from first gear to 2nd to 3rd to 4th like there were no problems at all
I drove home successfully. This morning hoping the problem was solved, I headed to work but couldn’t get out of 1st gear. Then about 10 minutes later same thing the door locks locked, and suddenly it was driving as if there were no problems.
The wrench showed up on the dashboard shortly thereafter, putting me back in the limp mode and I drove over at 20 miles an hour in first gear to the mechanic shop. It seems to be there is some electrical issue.
The truck is 13 years old with 210,000 miles any thoughts on what could be causing the problem and what I may need to do?
it Is very coincidental that each time suddenly power was sent to the door locks which I did not touch and suddenly my transmission was shifting gears appropriately.

Note:
During the inspection, I observed that fuse #27 shows signs of discoloration and partial melting, which could lead to intermittent stalling and erratic fuel codes. If this issue is not addressed, it may result in the vehicle not restarting until the fuse cools down, highlighting the importance of considering a fuse relocation kit for a more reliable solution.
