I'm in the process of repainting my bumper, and it takes down into a few pieces, it seems to be held together with some studs. Only problem is after however many years, they are buttery soft and a few are broken. I plan on drilling all the way through and replacing with bolts, but if there's a better alternative, I'm all ears. The studs hold the flat, "wings" on .
Stainless steel hdwr and maybe use pan head bolts (like a carriage bolt), if you want the outer head part smooth. Just have to make a round hole square to hold the head while tightening.
Grade 8 fine thread bolts and nuts would increase clamp strength when replacing the studs.
If you call Warn customer service they will give you a new Warn decal if you tell them know that you are restoring a vintage Warn product/. Have the size of the decal at hand when you call.

Vintage, huh? Too bad some dumb little deer ran into the passenger side at 60 mph, it is dented, but oh well, it's a truck. I'll go grade 8 for the bolts, should be much better. Perhaps I could learn to weld and add some reinforcement for the sides?
Already bought a new 4" decal for it! I'll be painting it a low gloss black (+ a hardener that may add some shine) right now I'm working on getting most of the rust and paint off.
Since we are on the subject of a Warn bumper, if some one wants to make their own here you go.
Or I know a guy that repops them, but in a HD version and his redesign is thoroughly tested.
Studs are drilled out, not perfect, but not bad for simple measuring and freehanding. Currently working on removing rust and paint, there's some pitting, but not too bad.
