Accidentally just hit 3700 rpm and the truck was ready to push well beyond that. Is there a rev limiter or does that go away with a tuner? Thanks
You should ask @Hyakkimaru about his "rev limiter" experience.
If I recall correctly, it seems that the rev limiter is not present on most aftermarket tunes. This is a main concern of mine with the truck I drive with a ZF6. Hence why I always try to shift around 2800 - 3000 RPM.
I had a stock pushrod snap at 4200 RPM when aggressively merging in the rain and lost traction. That was on a hydra tune. I Havent had any issues with the smith brothers push rods at high rpm so far
