So I am pretty new to the Chapter Leader role but evidently each chapter has a monthly "BS" thread for off topic posts. Kind of like a general social thread to keep separate from the regular vehicle related posts. At the beginning of each month a new thread is started and the previous month's BS thread gets locked.
So this is the beginning of the January 2025 BS thread. Enjoy!!

Reason: Making annual thread instead of monthly for now.
Good evening Ryan, and some States have monthly, some of us did Quarterly and some a year. In WV I started monthly and eventually to 3 months (Basically seasons plus a few days) but this year I and doing yearly.
It is a personal thing so do it as you like!
Anyway, I hope everyone in SC had a great start to the year. I have been a little slack sense the Sunday before Christmas. Mom (93 years old) got sick and I was with her and on Christmas day she went down on me and ended up in the hospital for over a week. Now she is in Rehab and I hope to get her home in a couple a weeks. OH, now she is 94 as of New Years Day!
I will try and stop in more often. You may want to go around some other states and befriend some of the people there and they may start to chat here. more activity the better the chance of other chiming in!
Happy Happy Hump Evening SC, Ryan and all the crew.
My woods saw 30°, a little sun, some flurries but the good news is the road are finally getting cleared!.
I hope everyone made it through Hump Day as the Humper and not the Humpy!
Merry Monday morning SC, Ryan and all the crew.
I had a busy weekend and still didn't accomplish much.
Starting the new week on a positive note, it is above freezing this morning, and the Soothsayers say I should see 37° and a little sun this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a great start to the week.
It doesn't normally get that cold here near the coast but they are calling for the mythical white powder (I think some call it snow) next week with the temps camping out in the 20's.
I have been pretty busy lately and have not even driven my truck in about a week but will definitely give it a go when it gets colder next week just to see how she does. That is if I can finish removing and or reattaching a piece of trim from the front quarter panel. The nut in between the fender and drivers door is giving me hell getting to!
Hope everyone in the upstate stays warm!!
Ryan

Reason: grammatical correction
Hey everyone recently I was looking through some of the other states' chapter pages to see how other chapters do things and for ideas when I came across what I thought was a pretty cool idea. One (and probably others as well) chapter uses a Google Map that is dedicated to their state for members to post there location within the state. I was already hoping that once the chapter membership and activity picks up that we may be able to create some more local groups within the state and this should help facilitate that process. I also really want to try and establish a list of old school salvage yards which this may also help. So I made a map and added some preliminary lines to divide the state into three areas. This can be tweaked as needed. My hope is that members put themselves on the map with a "pin" in the general vicinity of where they are located. For safety reasons I don't recommend pinning an exact address but just somewhere close by. So I am going to make a separate post with the link to the map as well as a brief explanation. I am also going to send out a mass message to anyone who has joined FTE since January 2022 with SC listed as there location with an invite to the chapter. Hopefully that helps get some more members and activity. I'm not sure if I can get it done today but will try. Ryan
