This bronco had been sitting outside for a few yrs now. It's been starting just fine and even runs great for a few mins then it gets warm and chugs and dies, I replaced the ignition control module because I read those go bad and sounded just like my problem, but it is still acting like its getting starved for fuel, pressure is fine, squirts clear to the top of the hood. You can stomp the gas when it starts to chug and it will act like it gets gas and then stops and starts to chug and dies. It starts right back up fine. I bypassed the inertia switch so thats not the problem. Im stuck like chuck....lol The only thing I haven't replaced is the fuel regulator and vaccum lines. I've read a lot of these forums and I just went ahead and replaced all of that listed below, because it sat for so long.
I have replaced both fuel pumps, both fuel filters, the fuel lines, spark plugs, ignition control module, and one of the 2 relays on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Any leads would be so appreciated l
thank you
When it is running, and give it hard throttle, is there a good exhaust flow from the tail pipe, the muffler or cats could be blocked, also loosen the gas cap and see if that changes things.
