My wife hs a 2020 Expedition Max XLT that we purchased new. We are at 50,000 miles now and the truck just had a significant transmission work done, but thats for another thread....
There was a little bubble on the top part of the dash panel on the driver's side, to the right of the instrument pod. A small annoyance, but really not a big deal. The dealer finally got the panel in to replace it and sent pictures of it in process. I am SHOCKED that they had to remove all of this to replace the top panel on the dash. Does this seem right? What am I missing here?
Considering that the dash is installed as one unit at final assembly, I'd bet that the 'top pad' is 1. attached in behind everything else that had to be attached and 2. may even be part of the main framework. So no, I'm not surprised at all that they pulled the entire dash out.
