My 96 e350 with the e40d has delayed shifting in drive mode but manually shifting from 1st to 2nd works really well and right when I started getting this transmission issue my van started idling at 1500 rpm my OD light is not flashing and I scanned it with the Bluedriver obd2 Bluetooth scanner I got no codes for the transmission so I'm not sure if the scanner is good enough to read the transmission codes but it advertised it could and people in the reviews said it can... anyway I decided to replace the following
- Rear abs sensor
- MLSP sensor
- Transmission fluid and filter/drained torque converter, the old fluid was in great shape
I started to put two and two together and now I'm pretty confident its the TPS so I wanna replace that as well as the idle air control valve and clean the throttle plates real good, both parts from motorcraft cost $180 together does this sound like a good next step?
Also can someone please let me know if this bluedriver obd2 can read trans codes cause if not I will return it that little thing cost $100 not sure if its worth keeping
