escape 2022 sel non-hybrid no run, engine off state?
On old cars and newer ones, there was an "accessory" position, a "on / run" position, and a "start" position. There doesn't seem to be a "on/run" position that is accessible from the push button. I assume there is a "on / run / engine off" position somewhere in the system as the "auto stop / start" feature must use it in some form. The purpose of having such a position is for allowing diagnostics to function and be able to talk to all systems. The accessory position does not fulfill that. Is there a way to cause "run / engine off" state without starting the vehicle?

The "one button" press appears to only power accessories and not all modules in the system as a scanner is not able to completely talk to all modules in the system. I have seen on chrysler push button starts that a second button push (no brake) puts the system in "on / run, engine off" mode while a single only push puts in "accessory" mode (ie. radio on). This does not seem to happen on these models of ford. :-(
