So the truck cranks and runs fine but after a few minutes of driving when you go to accelerate it skips and bogs down. It kinda sounds like backfiring. It won’t do this unless it’s in gear. I have let it idle in the yard and hit the gas without it being in 1st gear and nothing it runs perfect. I’m lost as to what it could be any ideas.

When was the last time it was tuned up? Plugs, wires, cap and rotor
If all that is good and the base timing is correct?
Then, check it for an intake manifold vacuum leak (start with a good visual inspection)
Those intake manifold bolts / studs used to fall out of those six pops

new plugs new wires timing is correct and no vacuum leaks. Also new fuel injectors
okay so update I jumped out the fuel pump relay to make it run constant and the truck didn’t run perfectly but it wasn’t bogging down anymore. What does this mean the likely culprit is.
