Redoing the brakes

Redoing the brakes
Couple things I learned today while redoing the brakes on my 2006 Escape.
- Everything is different on the front brakes if you have rear disc brakes.
- The caliper bracket bolts are 18mm.
- Not all socket sets include an 18mm socket.
- You can't break the caliper bracket bolts loose with a 3/8 drive ratchet.
- The front brake caliper slide pins are 7mm Allen with rear drum brakes.
- The front brake caliper slide pins are 9mm Allen with rear disc brakes.
- Not all Allen key sets include a 9mm.
- There are no Imperial measure tools that work on 18mm bolts, or 7mm and 9mm Allen fasteners.
- I think I am going to need a drink!
