So was considering repairing my rusted "see through" tailgate but after spending an afternoon on it concluded that it is too far gone to be properly repaired. At least with my current skills. So came back into the house and jumped on FB Market place. Found an ad that looked promising so sent them a note. Yes they had a used Tailgate, but they also had a new in the box NOS tailgate for exactly double what they wanted for the used one.
If should be here any day now.
Now if I can fine a decent used 8' box to put it on I will indeed be a happy camper. The original tailgate - Inside was far worse than the outside.

There is not much left of the old tailgate now. I have been using it as practice platform to help perfect Fitzee's Cut-n-Butt patching procedure with my new Arccaptain Mig 200. Great welder and if you are not aware of Fitzee's Fabrications channel on you tube look it up it is both entertaining and educational.
