I have a 2005 model year (build date 7/2004) Eddie Bauer 6.0L. It no longer has the oem running boards with lights but I believe the wiring is there. I’m trying to determine what to expect the entry and exit lighting. When using the key fob to lock the doors should the running board lights come on for any period of time, what about the inside cab lights? What about when you 2x press the fob lock? I’m not getting a horn confirmation beep.
what happens when using the fob to unlock? Will both interior and running board light come on when fob unlock is pressed? Is there a dif when you 2x press the fob unlock?
On my 2005 Limited, unlocking the truck (single unlock on the fob) turns on the steps and all interior lights (assuming the cargo switch is in the center position, not including the 3rd row map lights) and unlocks the driver's door only. A second click immediately after the first, or a double-click of the unlock button simply unlocks all doors, no change to lights.
Upon locking the truck, all interior and step lights turn off (unless specific lights have been left on by their switches). If a door is not closed completely, the steps stay on.
