What is the point of this?
I've got this on my 01' and 02' Ex but not on the 05.
What is the point of this? I'd like to remove it if it doesn't serve a purpose I care for.

Gonna take a wild stab in the dark (since there is no photo)...are you talking about the chunk of rectangular metal dangling from the bottom of your truck?
...if so, that's a vibration dampener...if you take it off you may start to hear/feel vibrations at highway speeds.
