Starting issues

Hello, I am having issues with my 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 4x4 5.4. In Aug it will be 1 year my truck has been sitting. I don't have to tell you how frustrating it has been. Anyways, I finally got the fuel pump replaced and it will start but it wont keep going it just dies. I have had a few different friends tell me to get the air out of the line. The thing that looks like where you put the air in a tire but for the fuel line on top of my motor or the sensor with the magnet thing below the bottom pulley thing. I know I'm totally lost lost here. I'm obviously female but I'm desperate to get my truck back on the road so any help will be appreciated. Thank you very much. Suggestions?

If the pump is working correctly the way to reprime the fuel rail and lines is to turn the key on, wait a few seconds, then turn it off and do it again. Each key-on cycle runs the pump for a few seconds. The fuel is returned to the fuel tank after it pases through the rail and regulator so the only reason to press the Schrader valve (the tire thing on the rail) is to see if you have pressure. If you cycle the key a few times and there's no fuel squirting (be careful, it will squirt far) is because the pump is not pumping or there's a blockage.

Ideally, you would have a pressure gauge connected to the Schrader valve so you could just watch the needle. Ford has their own odd Schrader valve size though and the fitting is often difficult to find.
