which drive belt is the correct one??

GATES K081213 Micro-V Info
W/Single Alternator; W/Cold Weather Package

GATES K081223 Micro-V Info
W/Single Alternator; W/O Cold Weather Package

Installed a Gate FleetRunner drive belt in 2017 .It now has some 68K miles and still looks like new especially on the under or groove side.. I understand there is a wear tool guide you can get from gates as the belt wear on the groves like a tire wears tread.. It make no noise now having to replace the tensioner recently as the bearings were starting to make noise. (yes check the other rolling parts and no rumble or feeling of wear etc) when i check the numbers at Gates website i get two applications. One with out cold weather kit and one with..

SO for reference the belt i am now running is the K081213HD which is spec for the cold weather package single alt model.. which i do not have far as I know.. (no clue what cold weather package consist of) It was a bit snug to get on with the new tensioner and the recommend belt is K081223HD which is 1" longer ... 121.3 vs 122.3 length.. Not sure which is the correct belt at this time and not sure what a cold weather package is..

I've always wondered whsmat the difference was but have never seen a solid answer to says why the belts would be different lengths with or without a cold weather package.

I have the 1223 on mine. I would reccomend the green gates belt.

SO it seem i have the Cold Weather package which is Block heater, AIH (deleted port used for boost pressure sensor) , and EBPV equipped.. who know.. LOL..

SO with that knowledge i need the K081223HD FleetRunner

with only 68K on the belt not in hurry to worry about it. We are going to alaska this summer and doing stuff to try and make sure it goes smooth..

Every single l99-03 7.3 I have ever seen has all those items. That's all I have ever seen about the cold weather package also but none of those have any effect at all on the belt. lol

Related question.

If you previously used the (incorrect according to this thread) shorter belt and it was difficult to get on, could that be the reason for the tensioner failure? I’m thinking pulled down further with extra stress.
