How to use forscan to program tbcm?
I have a 2012 f250 that I need to program a used trailer brake control module into. I have purchased a laptop and the connector for obd2 cable and downloaded forscan software, but have no idea how to program the replacement module with it. I've been trailering my 12,000 pound trailer (dump with bobcat loaded) without brakes for nearly two years now, and want to be safe if it rains going downhill. If I can't figure it out, I'll either continue trailering unsafely, or have to pay dealer something like $200, and I can't even be sure the replacement tbcm even works. Thanks for any help.
