Hey Folks.
What I’m trying to do is install a 2011 F150 rear seat into my 89 f150 single cab. I have some fab skills and all the tools. I have a doner seat frame to cut up and modify. My question is has anyone done this swap? I figured ide ask before “reinvent” this install. The issue I’m running into is my new seat the 2011 is mounted to the back of the cab stock so it does not have any sort of track mounts.
Thanks

you should not use a rear seat in your truck for driver seat
and why is that? people have been doing it for years.
can you show me the seat? Im imagining a bolsterless thin cushioned split bench which seats at a 90 degree angle relative to the cab floor . not sufficient head rest as well but still would have one

okay, a 2011 rear seat is much different than I was expecting. My bad. I am sorry I said anything.

It doesn’t really seem like you are reinventing anything if it has been before but in a different cab. What did they do to mount it and not sit too high or low? What is the depth of that seat compared to the stock seat? The bottom picture looks ok but the other two appear to seat you closer to the dashboard.

emeraldcoupe Thank you for the pictures. The seats I have never had tracks/ floor mounts like the seats you have submitted. I do appreciate the info so far.
