It was a race engine produced to beat its pushrod rivals. It was never allowed to compete because of course it would have won across the board and the other manufacturers threw a hissy fit about it.

Different camshafts with the 2017+ 6.2L. 25lb-ft of torque alone isnt anything to fuss about, but the camshaft update changed the torque curve considerably and there is a noticeable drivability difference between the two versions of 6.2L.
