These little brackets, what are they for. They were on the timbers that sit on the frame. They were near the back end and flush with the top of the frame timbers. Sitting in place
Thanks guys. These were not connected to anything. Just bolted onto the frame timbers as shown. I guess I'll put the back on. I'll sandblast them and paint them.
Ford pickups are well known for cracked frames. Only in 2016 did Ford finally catch up to its competitors with a fully boxed frame. With your project truck there should have been sistered in plates on both sides of the crack using a heavy duty deep penetration arc welder.
