This is a video of the sound I hear while driving. It's like a 'tapping' noise that is coming from inside the door.
doesn't matter if window is up, or down, door locked or unlocked. I have pushed all over the door card, and it has no effect.
My dealer is backlogged for weeks. Seems like taking the door card off isn't too bad, just not sure what pieces I should be looking at when I get it off
Has anyone heard a sound like this? 30-second video, but you only need to listen to 5 seconds
That is a bad one. No change when you pull in on the door? Can you feel it through the door panel when your hand is on it? I have an older (2004) suv that makes a similar sound. When I pull the door handle just to the point before it would open, the sound goes away. I know it's a completely different vehicle but you could try that.
I tried slamming the door extra hard while driving it made no change , I also tried pulling and pushing on the door in many locations and had no change. It sounds like a cable, or rod rattling around inside the middle of the door cavity behind the door card.
I didn't read through this thread to see if there was a solution, but his rattle sounds very similar. #4 on his list is what I was describing (didn't make a difference). https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ypewriter.html

same exact rattle! thank you for taking the time to dig out that thread and point me towards it. For the OP of that thread, he said it was his lower door hinge. I am going to go check these and will report back

Ok I tightened the bolt on the lower door hinge pivot, and I tightened the two 13mm bolts on the lower door hinge that I could reach, there is a 3rd one I couldnt get to. I took it for a quick test drive and it stopped making the noise. I'm not going to call it victory yet, but that's the first time I didn't hear it.

please update if it’s a fix. My ‘22 does the EXACT same thing. Brought it in to the dealer and they pulled the panel and added whatever inside trying to stop it but it still does it. Drives me nuts
My passenger door rattles when I hit a bump. My rear driver side door had one early on. I was able to move the latch inward a little which made the door close tighter and the rattle disappeared. I tried that with the passenger door but couldn't get much movement on it. I will try what you tried and see it that helps.
what about the thing in the middle of the hinges that keeps the door from opening too far? Mine makes a cracking sound some days when i open/close the door.
