I have always bought my motorcraft 1995 oil filters at Walmart. They don't seem to be stocking them anymore. If you aren't using a motorcraft, what brand are you using?
I bought my oil from Costco when i last changed my 2 vans, and the other vehicles i maintain. I must've had some filters on the shelf, i can't remember where i got the 1995 filter.
I have only been able to find the FL 1995-A. I am thinking of trying a couple rotella filters. Which can be bought at tractor supply for the same price as we pay for our motorcraft filters. Maybe $1 more or something. They seem to look exactly like our old motorcraft filters. I will do an oil analysis on my last motocraft I have on the shelf and then do the same oil analysis with the rotella filter and see if anything changes. I will also use travelers 15W-40 in the oil analysis. At least that's the plan anyway. Not sure when I will get to this. I only have 1500 miles on my current oil so..... Might be a bit.
Couldn't find the last one I had from a case I bought from Ford so I picked one up at Orileys, I think it was $12.
Whenever I order from RiffRaff I'll probably pick up a couple more since I also didn't see them at Walmart last time I was there.
I don't understand the problem with the -A filter. And when buying others, I recall reading that one of them is longer and is subject to getting beat on by the axle.

I just don't like the way the new ones look. If you look down the throat of the filter you can see a completely changed the design and it looks like crap. Chinese crap. That's just my opinion. I don't like the way the new one looks. I might start using the k&n filter that sous uses with the 1-in nut on the bottom to make it easy to remove.
