The wife and I decided to sell off out travel trailer and getting a slide in camper. The slide in we are getting requires a dually, unfortunately mine is a single axle F350. I thought about selling the truck and buying another one. But I really like the one I have, besides the oil leak I haven't found yet. So Friday I came up with a great idea I'll just change out the axles. Hopped on Facebook market place about 10min into the search I came across set of 08 F450 wide track axle and rear with springs still attached. ROAD TRIP! I ended up buying these axles the guy gave me a bunch of other stuff to help with the swap. The gear ratio is 4:88 I was thinking of changing the gear ratio. I currently have 3:73 ratio which is nice on the MPG's I know the 4:30 is more common in the 450's but was thinking of doing 4:10 ratio to help with MPG's any thoughts on this?

I'm still needing a 05-07 F450/F550 front sway bar and steering shaft if anyone has one laying around and want to sell it.


Oh Also got a 78 F250 Snow Fighter with the Ranger trim, I just had to haul off the trash around the truck for the cost of the truck. I just have cost of fuel for 3 trips to the dumpster at the shop. I haven't brought it home yet It sat in the guys back yard since 07 and just rusted away has 351M with C6 tranny. So far I can tell the front passenger fender is trash, floor board has a big hole in it, and the bed what's left of it is going to scrap. Haven't been able to check the frame out yet to much stuff around it and it has sunk into the ground up to the axles. Pulling it out is going to be fun. Probably wait until spring to get it out and bring it home. If the frame is gone I'll part out what I can.
