Exhaust Pipe Clamps
I want to use an exhaust pipe clamp for two pieces of pipe. One end is expanded to allow the other pipe to slide in. What is the terminology for that type of clamp? It needs to be stainless steel and not one of the old fashion pipe clamps. The expanded end is about 2 & 3/16"

IMHO, I would use "Muffler/exhaust pipe dope/paste" at all connections. It seals minor imperfections and also acts like anti-seize in terms of helps make it easier to separate the components in the future if needed.
